The Posada (Inn) is located in the center of Andalusia, and here we feel privileged, respecting its silence, customs and the ways of our environment. And this is why we make the guests who arrive here part of the nature that surrounds them. So, when you visit us know that you will probably not only travel to Andalusia, but also travel to your inner-self and to a place of peace in the mountains.

Our mission is to offer alternative experiences to the simple rural lodging, in our apartments, house or camping area and motorhomes parking, maintaining the balance and harmony between tourism and the nature in which it takes place. In addition to offering accommodation in the heart of Andalusia, we provide the possibility of turning your trip into an experience of inner knowledge and self-sufficient life.

OUR HISTORY

The dream of a child that has come true and happened to be shared with the world. We can say that this is how the history of Posada La Niña Margarita began. Purchased in 1994 by a young man of almost 30 years, the property was nothing more than an old and destroyed little house, apparently without structure, but with a promising future. But José, who spent so many years getting to know these mountains with his family, knew that it was possible to transform it into a beautiful inn, with a rural air, simple style and all the magic that a place in the middle of nature can offer.

It took two years of hard work, together with his wife Silvia, until in November 1996 the doors were opened for the first guests, at first as a mountain lodge, with four rooms and two bunk beds in each. Today, almost 25 years after the decision to make our passions a way of life, we have a pretty Inn, with capacity for up to 50 people in two houses and six different apartments besides a motorhome parking and camping area. Every day we work to make constant improvements, and we enjoy what we do day by day in this paradise. That is why we are so excited to share it with all of you!

We settled in the Village of Los Villares, in Priego de Córdoba, but nature is our real location. We are under the highest and most beautiful peaks in the Province of Córdoba. The admiration for our environment and deep respect for our land, drives us to serve as a union between the traveler and their experiences in Andalusia, enhancing sensory knowledge and advising where and how to get to know the most authentic of our region. We are in the Natural Park of the Sierras Subbéticas, the HEART OF ANDALUSIA and from here it will be easy for you to get to know this beautiful Spanish region. More than that, you will have the opportunity to practice inner knowledge and its connection with the earth, plants, animals, olive trees.

Get to know La Posada, our rural house and the Camping and Motorhome area, which invites you to stay with us for a while and live an alternative experience to simple rural accommodation, full of contact with gardens, farms and orchards, all within the same plot of 65,000 meters and at the same direction.

The truth is that we are not a team, but a family, which becomes more complete whenever someone comes to help us, whether to work on a project, to spend some time or to stay.

José María Pérez-Marín Benítez

Hello, I’m José (or Tano, as you see fit)! I was born in Sevilla, but I spent my childhood coming to Carcabuey, my parents’ town, to visit my grandparents and relatives. From a very young age, when we went to the countryside as a family, I always found a moment in which I liked isolating myself from my brothers and the rest of the family to have those moments alone with myself, in which my imagination was overwhelmed by so much natural greatness. I didn’t need anything else and I was full and happy. Later, I began to write on paper and not only imagine in my head what I desired and wanted… But only many years later, more exactly in 1994, I made the decision to fulfill that desire from when I was a child. And I did: I gave up my life as a publicist and came to this beautiful villa very close to the town of my parents and grandparents, from where I began to be what I am today, which is the person who fulfills that dream of living in nature’s means and provide the same to more people. I then bought a completely destroyed little house, which for years we were restoring and providing it with services, together with Sílvia (my wife and mother of our children), so that together we could form and raise a family according to our chosen way of life. As a nature lover, I feel comfortable and happy to be part of it and to be able to make my work my passion. Here in the Inn and surroundings is where I feel completeness and I love to share it with people who come to spend some time to rest, to works or to study.

On a daily basis, I do a little of everything, the garden and animals are my daily company and my masters in life. I also love to guide walks in the mountains and through the most beautiful places in Andalusia, and it is my pleasurable work to coordinate and design the logistics for educational programs and international tourism and, of course, receiving guests, who are my true teachers.

Sílvia Córdoba

Hello, my name is Silvia, and I’ve always liked having direct contact with nature. I was born and raised in Cabra, where I studied and graduated in dental prosthetics. But nature was always close to me, I feel in harmony with it. At Carcabuey, the city of my parents, I met José, and was enchanted by his dream of having the Posada! We got married very early and I continued working in my profession for a while, until I realized that my place was right here. So we came to this little-great paradise and here we raised our two children, thus fulfilling our dreams. I was always curious to learn everything nature could teach me and make the most of everything that interested me, like mycology (my passion), medicinal herbs, etc.

Over time and from the hands of the best and extraordinary teachers I have learned many little things: making macerations of remedies, creams and medicinal oils, dishes and recipes with the most natural ingredients. Today at the Inn I am responsible for organic products and cooking, and for guests I offer workshops on oils, soaps and other natural products, in addition to organizing field trips to collect, study and prepare recipes in cooking and natural cosmetics. As an official guide of the Geopark of the Subbética, I also advise and design outlets for your appreciation. And all that I do in my day to day I try to do with the LOVE that nature teaches me, transmitting good and positive things to others. It will be a pleasure to receive you, and to have you feel like home!

Volunteering

THE WORLD COMES HERE!

To complete our family, we receive volunteers from the most varied countries and also from other places in Spain, who stay for a time, providing their services while enjoying our accommodation, food and privileged place in Andalusia. And do not think that they simply come to learn at the Posada, since they always bring us great teachings, leaving their mark forever, as well as their friendship and affection!
